The GUNI Conference is an international forum for debate on the challenges facing higher education in the twenty-first century. Participants from around the world take part of this gathering where innovative proposals are raised and the results of the last research can be discussed with highly recognized scholars. The Conference is held in Barcelona and is attended by distinguished experts, scholars, university managers, administrators and politicians from all over the world.

The International Barcelona Conference on Higher Education evolves, grows and adapts itself every year to the principal thematic GUNI is working on during that moment.

On this basis, the programme of each conference is complemented by various contributions of experts and other distinguished personalities of worldwide renown and provides participants with opportunities to meet and exchange experiences. The objective of the Conference is more than expose the last findings of current research on higher education; it aims to embed them into the context of each world region and propose future research lines and possible applications.
